I am looking to buy a Super 8 camera that I can sync sound for a total under $1200.00
I want to use the camera professionally for narrative short films. Any suggestions?
Nizo?
Canon 1014?

Buy a Beaulieu!!! I have a 4008ZMII, I love it. I think that you could come in right about 1000 to 1100 with the sync. The best thing to do is call IRV HIGDON in california. He sells and works on Beaulieu cameras. He has been a good friend since he fixed my camera. His number is 1-800-318-3259

Thanks for the lead with Irv. I called and talked to him, he sounds like a really good guy. I will definitely check out what he has.
Quick question, do you use your camera for synch sound? I heard the 4008zmII are kind of loud.
Thanks again!

I sent you an email that goes in depth but for anyone else--The 4008ZMII is fine when you have a barney. The noise is more of a whine. Its noise is a small price to pay for the superior camera.
